The Central Universities Entrance Test is abbreviated as CUET. The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers an all-India examination ( National Testing Agency). Students will be able to gain admission to various universities with the help of this exam. Something amazing happened in the CUET PG 2022 results. Out of a total of ten lakh students, approximately 20,000 received a perfect score in 30 subjects. English is the subject where around 8000 students received 100 percentile.
The findings indicate that college admissions cut-offs will rise in all of these subjects. History (893), Hindi (875), Accountancy (422), and Geography (326) were among the other subjects in which students received a perfect scores. The first edition of the CUET PG was held in six phases between July 15 and August 30 at 489 examination centers spread across 259 cities in India and 10 cities abroad.
How many students took the exam?
The CUET PG exam consisted of 2219 papers with a total of 50,476 questions in 13 mediums. Students will be admitted to 90 universities based on the results of this exam. A total of 10 lakh candidates registered for admission in the first year of the entrance exam. Because there will be no counseling or centralized admissions process to fill the seats, universities will release their merit lists based on CUET PG scores.
What is the CUET Percentile Score & Score Normalisation Process?
The CUET result is released after the percentile score is calculated using the normalization process. The CUET Percentile Score indicates the percentage of candidates who scored at or below that individual percentile on the CUET exam.
The CUET 2022 percentile score is calculated based on the relative performance of all candidates who take the exam across all days and shifts. For each shift/session, candidates’ marks are transformed on a scale of 100 to 0.
CUET 2022 was run in 6 phases over several shifts. Each session’s collection of questions is distinct from the others, therefore the difficulty level may not be consistent across all sessions.
There will inevitably be sessions that are easier or harder overall than others. Candidates who take a harder exam are therefore likely to attempt fewer questions and, as a result, receive lower marks than those who take an easy exam. NTA employs the score normalisation process to resolve this mismatch.
The topper (highest score) of each session receives the same percentile of 100 as a result of the percentile score calculation. The points earned between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate percentiles.
The NTA assures that no candidate is disadvantaged by the CUET UG result through the normalisation process based on the percentile score.
To prevent the bunching effect, the percentile score is calculated up to 7 decimal places.

You have to follow these steps to check your CUET 2022 result:-
- Visit the NTA CUET official website at cuet.Samarth.ac.in.
- Now, select the “CUET 2022 Score Card” option.
- Enter your login information, including your application number and date of birth.
- Select the ‘Download Scorecard/ Result’ option.
- The CUET 2022 result will be displayed.
- Download it and print a copy for future reference.
How can you check the CUET 2022 Merit List?
To check the CUET 2022 merit list, follow these steps:
- Click on the official link on the participating university’s website..
- Choose your preferred topic.
- The PDF of the merit list with the details will be displayed.
- Download the CUET UG 2022 Merit List for future use.
The CUET Merit List for PG admissions will be calculated using the CUET marks and the marks in the last qualifying exam, with a 30% weightage given to the qualifying degree marks and a 70% weightage given to the CUET marks.

How will the merit be decided if multiple students end up with the same CUET score?
Delhi University has devised tie-breaking criteria based on class 12 results. In the event of a tie, where two or more candidates have the same CUET (UG) – 2022 merit score for a programme plus college combination, the candidate with the higher percentage of aggregate marks in Class XII will be given preference. If the tie cannot be broken, age will become a factor, and the older applicant will be given preference.

CUET 2022 Counseling
The CUET 2022 counseling process will begin shortly after the announcement of the CUET 2022 results. The complete schedule of CUET 2022 Counseling will be available on the respective universities’ official websites. Candidates who score higher than the cut-off and make the merit list will be invited to CUET Counseling 2022.
Candidates who passed the CUET 2022 entrance exam must register on the university website to complete the choice filling and document verification process.
Candidates with a higher rank will be given preference over those with a lower rank.
